Michael Kowalchuk holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Regional and Urban Planning, both from the University of Saskatchewan. He is also currently pursuing his Master of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence through the University of London. Additionally, Michael is designated as a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners.
Currently, Michael works as a Senior Planner II at the City of Saskatoon, leading the City’s Research and Mapping area in the Planning and Development department. This area is responsible for creating and reporting statistical data and mapping information related to land-use and city planning. Previous work at the City includes managing the City’s Attainable Housing Program where Michael sat on the Saskatoon Housing Initiative’s Partnership Community Advisory Board.
